These terms govern your relationship with Journal du Pôle Ltd when you use our website, book our classes or services, or enquire about our products. They are written to be clear. If anything is unclear, write to us at contact@journaldupole.com before you book.

2. Our Services
We may offer:
Atelier de Pôle — in-person and online pole dance and fitness classes, workshops, and private coaching and instructor training, delivered around the world.
Ambre de Pôle — artisanal pole grip available as an add-on through Acuity bookings or via our Shopify store.
Other artistic, creative enterprise, digital, technology, corporate legal or business services as described on our website.
Descriptions are illustrative. We reserve the right to make changes to services to comply with applicable law or safety requirements. We will notify you if any such change materially affects a booking you have made.
3. Bookings and Contract Formation
Bookings are made through our designated service provider, which may include Acuity Scheduling or, where stated, directly by email. A booking is confirmed, and a contract formed, when we send you a booking confirmation email.
We reserve the right to decline a booking. If we do, we will notify you promptly and refund any payment in full.
4. Physical Activity — Health & Safety
Pole dance and aerial fitness carry inherent physical risk. By booking and attending any class or workshop, you confirm that:
You have completed, or will complete, our Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) honestly and in full
You are not aware of any medical or physical reason that would make it unsafe for you to participate
You will inform your instructor of any injury, condition, or change in health before each session
You will follow all instructor guidance and studio safety rules at all times
Journal du Pôle Ltd provides educational and recreational pole and movement instruction. Our services are not a substitute for medical, physiotherapy, or clinical advice. If you have a health condition, consult a qualified medical professional before booking.
You participate in all physical activities at your own risk, subject to our liability obligations set out below.
5. Ambre de Pôle (Site Add-On)
Where Ambre de Pôle is offered as an add-on through this site or Acuity bookings, it is subject to the product-specific terms at ambredepole.myshopify.com. Ambre de Pôle is a chemical preparation (HS 3824.99) containing isopropyl alcohol. It is flammable. Full safety information is on the product label.
6. Fees and Payment
Fees are as published on our website or as agreed in writing. Payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise stated. We accept payment via the methods listed on our booking page.
7. Cancellation and Rescheduling
By you: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so as far in advance as possible via your Acuity Scheduling confirmation email or by writing to contact@journaldupole.com.
Our cancellation policy (shown at booking) applies. Where a refund is due, it will be returned to your original payment method within 14 days.
By us: We may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule a class or session due to instructor illness, venue availability, or circumstances beyond our control. We will give you as much notice as possible. In such cases, you will receive a full refund or an offer to reschedule — your choice.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on journaldupole.com — including text, images, video, and teaching materials — is the property of Journal du Pôle Ltd or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any of our content without our prior written consent.
9. Data Protection
We are a Data Controller for personal data collected through this site and our bookings. See our Privacy Policy below for full details.
10. Our Liability
We do not exclude liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud; or any matter where it would be unlawful to exclude liability.
Subject to the above, and because our Atelier and Ambre serve consumers, we are not liable for business losses or any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable to both parties at the time of booking.
11. Circumstances Beyond Our Control
Neither party will be liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances genuinely beyond their reasonable control, including natural disasters, government action, or infrastructure failure. The affected party will notify the other as soon as reasonably practicable.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes may be referred to the courts of England and Wales (or Scotland or Northern Ireland if you reside there). We always prefer to resolve concerns directly — please write to contact@journaldupole.com first, or complaints@journaldupole.com for formal complaints.
