make a difference

We have long supported the Trans + Queer Fund Kenya’s heroic efforts to provide mutual aid for Trans and Queer people in need. In solidarity with our community, we regularly host pay-what-you-can LGBTQIA+ community workshops with all proceeds donated directly to the Fund. This has been made possible by the warm support of Cece’s Studio, Nairobi, our local studio partner. As part of our commitment to donate 10% of profits from each Batch of Ambre to the Fund, see our first Social Impact report in 2027.

The Trans + Queer Fund Kenya does mutual aid work to serve many LGBTQIA+ Kenyans who have been systemically and, in many respects, socially ostracized because of their sexual orientation. Founded in 2020, by Mumbi, Makena, Karwitha, and Kedolwa, it began in response to the COVID-19 pandemic with the goal of, “collecting and redistributing funds to LGBTQ+ Kenyans facing housing crises, food insecurity, unemployment, general safety concerns and other urgent needs.”

Please note that we generally do not accept or process any donations on behalf of the Fund. The payment link provided below pays directly to the Fund. We also direct attendees of our community workshops to submit their donations directly via the Fund’s own advertised payment channels, published here for ease of reference. Thank you so much for joining us in making the world a better place, for everyone.
